Physical: Athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame with a solid blend of physicality in the movements. 6.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, balanced stance with the hands starting deep at the shoulder. Utilized a quick toe tap stride to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path with some twitch in the hands. Created hard contact at the front of the plate while showing a little bit of length in the swing. Showcased plenty of bat to ball skills during batting practice with ability to barrel up the baseball when pitched in any quadrant of the plate. Recorded a max of 96 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball while registering a top distance of 361 feet.
Defensively: The primary catcher sat low in the crouch with adequate feel for a soft glove hand while receiving. Pop times ranged from 2.23-2.31 with quick straight line footwork and average transfers. Gets caught in the throwing phase at times and could flirt with sub 2.10 times if he could get rid of it quicker. Arm worked through a short, high ¾ slot with some crossfire in the land. Beat the ball to the spot while blocking with advanced lateral quickness behind the dish, deadening the baseball over the plate with soft walls. C - 74 mph
Physical: 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. Athletic build; fast twitch actions.
Run: 7.41 runner in the 60.
Hit: RHH. Spread stance; minimal movement within load and stride. Stays balanced Quick, short swing path that accelerates quickly into and through the zone.
Power: 89 MPH raw exit velocity. Hard line drives that will increase their carry when extension improves.
Defense: 2.12-2.19 pop times. C: Replaces feet well as he gains ground towards 2B; traditional catcher's arm action. INF: Active footwork; showed lateral range to his glove side with a quick release.
Arm: High 3/4 release from behind the plate but is able to alter arm angles on the infield. C - 71 MPH. INF - 74 MPH.
Positional Profile: Versatile defender that can handle both spots; arm is serviceable right now as he does plenty of things correctly. Offensive game will compliment his ability to play multiple positions.
