A lean projectable 5-foot-7, 144 pounds. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance feet shoulder width apart. Simple load actions. Quick direct path to the baseball. Impressive batting practice performance at the NY 2020 games. Displayed hard consistent contact. Defensively- the infielder displayed active footwork. Moves well laterally. Smooth funnel actions and quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 82 MPH. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a balanced repeatable delivery. Garcia will twist his upper body and keep his front side close before working downhill. Live fast arm from a high ¾ arm slot. Worked with a two pitch mix at the NY 2020 games. FB peaked at 83 MPH and CB ranged from 64-67 MPH.
Lean, wiry build at 5-foot-7 137 pounds, ran a showcase best 7.06 60 on a soft surface. Hitting - Slightly open stance; weight pre-loaded over the backside. Slight barrel tip towards the mound when loading, aggressive lower half rotation; barrel stays in the the zone with an elevated 2-handed finish. Contact approach. Defensively- Low to the ground approach; can get on heels when fielding forehands but stays active and athletic when moving laterally. Makes the play on the move and can alternate arm angles. Pitching - Hybrid setup over the rubber; quiet drop step, pivot to a leg drive just above the belt. Hits a hesitation at times through his deliver; arm action is long and easy through a 3/4 arm slot. Stayed around the plate and showed some bite to his 1-to-7 breaking ball.
