Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a high finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while sitting back. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 80 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-81 MPH; arm side run. CB: MPH; late action. Pitching: Works up temp with a high leg lift at a tall stack before getting into back side as glides out down the line drin=ving against a firm front side. Long, fluid arm swing to a natural 3/4 release.
FB: Plays with Life (Bauer Unit 28), Ride (21.5" Induced Vertical), and arm side run (-21" ) through the zone. CB: Showed good feel for the tight breaker with 1-7 shape.
Physical: High-waisted, compact and developing 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. 8.18 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Started from a bent, even stance with the hands showing rhythm high above the shoulder, utilized a short lift and replace stride in order to unleash the barrel through a flat path into the hitting zone, upper half oriented swing with feel for the barrel and hands, sprayed the middle of the field with hard contact (42% line drive rate) while accruing a solid 85 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. Room to continue adding strength in order to improve a baseline of a 250 foot max batted ball distance and doubles power at the moment to the pull-side gap (RCF).
Defensively: The primary outfielder showed comfortability moving in space with a soft glove hand off his right foot on the approach, slight down chest angles and came and got the ball. Accurate 71 mph arm strength from his position .. The first baseman showed off adequate feet and feel around the bag with short lateral movements to gain position at the fielding window. Kept the feet on the move getting the shoulders in line before releasing from a short, high ¾ slot (70 mph) across the diamond.
Physical: Long and durable 5-foot-8, 145-pound frame with strength in the lower half. 7.74 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: LHH. Wide, crouched setup with balance throughout, the hands started deep at the shoulder. Utilized a short and quick lift and replace stride to initiate the hands through a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Liked to get the bat head extended and around the baseball but showed off consistent, hard line drive contact to the RF side during batting practice. Athletic lower half and hit into a stiff front side, recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 84 mph and could lift the ball above the belt. Defensively: The outfielder featured short and methodical footwork arriving to the spot on time with regularity. Showed off a soft glove hand that played off of the middle-right side of his body, feel for transfers and an accurate high ¾ slot on throws from his position. Liked to range to the glove hand side with ability to stay behind the baseball in the air. Pitching: LHP - Started from the middle-right side of the rubber with quick pace to the delivery, medium-high leg lift with slight hip coil and directional drive out of the stack, landed slightly closed with natural crossfire allowing the FB to show minor arm-side run at 67-69 mph out of a fluid, high ¾ slot with length to the arm circle.
Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Short simple load actions. Does a good job keeps his hands back when striding towards the pitcher. Displayed hard consistent contact during his batting practice session to the pull side. Defensively- the outfielder displayed an aggressive approach to the baseball. Fields the baseball slightly off center and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Pitching- the left handed pitcher displayed a low effort repeatable delivery. The 2024 graduate live in the zone during his bullpen session. Displayed feel for three pitches. Works mainly from the stretch position. The 2024 graduate has upside and is a player to follow as he continues to develop.
