Physical: Strong 6-foot-1, 220lb frame with thick lower half proportions; 8.02 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, upright stance as the barrel bounced off the shoulder in rhythm. Utilized a toe tap stride to initiate the bat head through a slightly uphill, direct path into the hitting zone. Showed off minimal extra movements in the swing, matching pitch-plane with on-time barrel actions from a rotational approach. The front-side blocked off firmly with good sequencing from the ground up; notched a T83 mph bat-exit velocity and recorded a 56% fly ball rate with some loft available (via Trackman). A 289 foot batted ball distance points to doubles power on occasion with backspin to pull.
Defensively: The backstop demonstrated adequate receiving skills out of a traditional stance; pop times ranged from 2.08-2.17, repeating footwork in-line to the target with a simple H ¾ slot in/out of the mitt (70 mph arm).
