Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with ability to continue adding strength as he matures. 8.13 runner in the 60-yard dash. .
Offensively: RHH. Wide, balanced stance with a slight bend in the knees upon setup, the hands started with slight wiggle above the shoulder. Utilized a knee-knock stride in the leg lift allowing for a flat barrel path to enter the hitting zone with slight lift after contact. Showcased the ability to get on plane early with long levers creating solid barrel awareness, and repeatability in the swing. Used the whole field during batting practice working gap to gap with hard contact while registering a top bat-exit velocity of 86 mph according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured adequate receiving skills from a one knee setup at times, pop times ranged from 2.15-2.28 while getting up with the center of gravity out of the crouch and gaining minimal ground, quick feet and smooth transfers as the arm comes through a short, high ¾ slot on the release. Possesses advanced catch and throw skills and could see pop times drop into low 2.00’s with lower posture on the straight line footwork. Beat the ball to the spot while blocking with downward chest angles. C - 71 mph
