Physical: 6-foot-3, 300 pounds; physical frame. 8.01 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow stance with slight bend in the knees, works with a closed off upper half with relaxed arms and bat on his shoulder; hovers the front foot and strides out forward, upper half remains fairly quiet. Low effort from the lower half, shows some instability on the back leg on load but clears the hips through on time and consistently with downhill bat path that finds the barrel easily, produces line drives. Shot line drives all over the field, some top spun but all hard hit; peak Trackman exit velocity of 91 MPH.
Defensively: Wide base, sits low into his crouch and gives the catcher a good target; stands up out of the crouch and then switches feet, gets in the direction of his target nicely. Soft hands that receive the ball quietly, transfer easily; short, whipping arm action from a short 3/4 slot by the ear. 2.31-2.39 pop times. C - 69 MPH.
