Physical: Strong build at 5-foot-10, 178 lbs.
Pitching: Short side step before a leg lift and turn, gets into back side as drives down the mound finishing over a firm front side. Pulls the hand out of the glove with a slight hook and hesitation before getting through a natural 3/4 release.
FB: Has plus life (Bauer Unit 27) and ride (23" IVB) through the zone. SL: Tight, lateral break with depth through the zone (-17" horizontal break) CH: Showed feel for the zone with good differential in speed
Physical: 5-foot-10, 174-pounds. Lean, athletic build; 4.79 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, upright stance with a wide base, hands start level with his shoulders out in front of his body, uses a bat waggle and a small leg lift for timing Hands are quick to and through the zone, bat path stays level throughout the whole swing and finishes with one hand. Consistent pull-side contact. 76 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Controlled, consistent footwork approaching the ball, fields the ball in the middle of his body and releases quickly. Medium arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 68 MPH.
Pitching: Steady pace, fundamental delivery, striding in line to a balanced follow through. Drops down out of glove into a neutral position before getting up to a 3/4 slot.
FB: T70, 68-70 MPH. Locates in the zone with natural tail.
CB: 57-58 MPH. Commands in the zone with 11-5 shape.
CH: 58-60 MPH. Maintains arm speed with sink.
A lean frame at 5-foot-9,168 pounds. Pitching- Displayed repeatable over the top delivery. Showed plus FB command from a live ¾ arm slot. FB peaked at 65 MPH. CB is sharp and above average out pitch for the HS level at 55-56 MPH. The 2022 graduate, with strengthening and development, should increase all his measurables.
