Heffernan is 5-foot-7 and weighs 150 pounds, runs a 7.22 60 and plays SS/2B. Offensively- Wide stance from the left side. Bat tap timing with little hand separation. High, fast leg kick that needs a bit of work due to him reaching for balls. Has slight back side lag but quick hands help him have an exit velocity of 88 MPH. Leans back a bit on his high 2-handed finish. Defensively- Soft hands and quick transfer, feet are a bit choppy and can use some work but shows good lateral actions with some bounce. Heffernan stays down on the ball well. Throws from ¾ slot; may translate better to a 2nd-baseman at the next level but serviceable at SS/3B. Infield arm velocity: 76 MPH.
