Slight knee bend with weight 50/50 and his hands held just above his back shoulder. On pitch his trigger is a knee raise stepping forward while his hands move back slightly into a good hitting position. Quick hands to the hitting zone with good barrel engagement. Bat path is level through the zone to a high two handed finish. Good lower body rotation. Swing is fluid throughout. Recorded an exit velocity of 73 mph. Catching- Good catch and throw with a quick transfer. Uses an angled, primary setup. Throws downhill towards target and consistent with getting throw on right side of the bag. Recorded a pop time of 2.18. Moves body while framing, will improve with keeping body still. Blocking ok, would improve with glove going down to ground first. Defensively- Sits back and weights for ball. Needs to attack ball more to go get the hop. Good funnel and transfer into throwing position. Needs to be more aggressive moving towards throwing target. Recorded a positional velocity of 66 mph.
