Offensively: RHH. Slightly open and wide stance with high hands and an upright bat; small toe tap while he works the hands back as he strides back to even. Good use of the lower half, keeps it simple and quiet, moves the lower half well with a very easy swing, goes down and out of the zone but gets extension with his arms. Hit the ball well to pull side in the air and on the ground; peak Trackman exit velocity of 89 MPH.
Defensively: Angles off slightly to set himself to field the ball easier, stays pretty tall during pre pitch; gets low to the ground and maintains active feet to gain momentum through the ball. Easy hands that work smoothly to field and transfer the ball; quick, short arm action with exceptional hand speed. INF - 80 MPH.
Pitching: Simple delivery with weight pre loaded on a bent back leg, small leg kick that gets him moving in the right direction down the mound. Over the top arm action that matches the shoulder plane very well, good hand speed through the throwing window. FB: T 82 MPH, 79-81 MPH. Fastball has above average spin giving it a type of "rising" effect to the eyes of the hitter. Lived in the zone, frequently at the knees. CB: 65-68 MPH. Curveball has similar spin to his FB, making it all the more deceptive. CH: 74-75 MPH. Threw the changeup effectively, has some downward movement as it approaches the plate.
Physical: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds; athletic, lean frame. 7.53 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Slightly open front side with low hands and an upright bat; toe tap to just past shoulder width while the hands work back toward the catcher. solid use of lower half. Clears hips well and blocks on front leg effectively too with down and out of the zone fairly quick, shoots the end of the barrel to the ball. Sent the ball to the opposite field frequently while still showing the ability to turn on the inside pitch; peak Trackman exit velocity of 88 MPH.
Defensively: Sits higher in the crouch to aid in lower pop time, large target; worked with fast feet, gained ground toward the target. Fast, soft hands; good throwing mechanics, directly to the ear from transfer. 2.12-2.28 pop times. C - 74 MPH
Pitching: Methodical in the delivery with a clean hand break at the chest. Occasionally over-rotates the front half on his way down the mound, landing with his toes pointing to the LHH batter's box. Short actions, drawing from the glove about chest level while maintaining bend in his elbow. FB: T 83 MPH, 78-81 MPH. Generates ~2234 rpm on his fastball, giving it some good life around the top of the zone. CB: 65-66 MPH. Creates about the same amount of spin on his CB that he does with his FB giving it some deceptiveness. CH: 71 MPH. Kills the spin on his changeup, giving it good depth and horizontal movement.
