2017 catcher Nicolas Cardieri may have been the best prospect on the field. The RHH hit 5th for the Hornets and smoked a double to left center. His two at-bats prior he scorched two groundouts to SS, one that came off the bat at 91 MPH (wood). Behind the plate he was great in the dirt and had some dead ball pop times of 2.01 and 2.06. He also was part of a rare double play to end a Lehman rally in which he squeezed a strike three foul tip and then in motion made a crisp throw to second base to back pick the Lions runner for the 3rd out.
