Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Extended take back of the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman. Big time barrel awareness with plus rotational acceleration and bat speed. Quick hands stay inside the ball for a compact swing.
Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying in an elevated position. Hands are firm with a clean transfer. Short take back from a low 3/4 arm slot. 2.07-2.13 pop times. C - 76 MPH. A high catcher velocity helps to produce above average pop times from this athletic backstop.
