Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with projectability and advanced feel for his body. 7.23 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Slightly open, controlled stance with a minor bend in the knees as the hands worked high above the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a leg-hang stride to repeatedly be on time at the front of the plate with a fluid, slightly uphill barrel path launching into the hitting zone upon footstrike. The hands demonstrated high level barrel awareness with above-average quickness in terms of “time to contact.” Juiced the ball on the inner half but really did damage with his long limbs on balls pitched out over the plate. Worked the middle of the field primarily during a standout batting practice round, but was able to sit back and turn on balls to the RCF gap as well. Showcased extra base hit prowess while recording a top bat-exit velocity of 86 mph per Trackman Baseball, complete hitter.
Defensively: The primary shortstop demonstrated a quality feel for advanced footwork playing downhill through the baseball with regularity. Moved well laterally with natural instincts in space allowing for precise routes and ability to create positive angles on balls hit to either side. A soft glove hand approaches the ball off of the left side at the fielding window. Live, high ¾ arm slot with intent on the release. INF - 80 mph
