Physical: Long and lean, projectable 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame with athleticism and an ease in the movements present. 6.93 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Loose, balanced stance from an even setup, as the hands were calm on the shoulder to begin; utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the bat head through a fluid, flat path into the hitting zone. Above-average mechanics stood out offensively yielding positive results during a solid batting practice round; generated natural loft towards the LCF gap (58% fly ball rate) while accruing a 310 foot max batted ball distance. Showed consistent hand speed at the plate (22 mph average) which translated into a quality 87 mph bat-exit velocity, demonstrated the ability to hit for extra bases towards the pull-side.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured good pace during defensive evaluations, arriving on time to the spot with a soft and trusted glove hand, which gave way to a quick, methodical high ¾ slot on the release (76 mph). Room for more velocity and intent on throws, was consistently accurate on the plate on all reps … The shortstop displayed a hop in the prep step and followed with short, calculated steps in either direction. Got behind the ball on time and took his time with quick, high intent throws from a short, high ¾ slot across the diamond (75 mph). Possible positional flexibility.
