Physical: 6-foot-2, 150 pounds; Slender, wiry build. 7.01 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Extended take back of the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a one-handed finish.More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 89 MPH via Trackman. Rotational acceleration registered above average with good hand speed.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 78 MPH. Footwork at SS is clean, quick and active.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using an angled drop step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; high 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-82 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 67-69 MPH; 2-8 shape.
Physical: Lean / athletic 6-foot, 135-pound frame with projectability in the build. 7.30 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands starting flat at shoulder height. Utilized a quick lift and replace stride to initiate the barrel through a flat path in the hitting zone. Demonstrated feel for an adjustable lower half which led the way for the hands to match pitch plane early and often in the swing. Flashed a line drive approach mostly to the LCF gap with ability to get to contact quickly with a strong top hand. Hit into a semi-stiff front side yielding a peak bat-exit velocity of 78 mph per Trackman Baseball / impressive 64% line drive rate during his round. Quality approach during game action with ability to handle velocity with above average 24.00 mph max hand speed according to Blast Motion.Defensively: The primary shortstop featured quick and active footwork with a medium-low center of gravity at the fielding window, approached the baseball with aggression and let the glove and play out in front of the left side of his body. Liked to range to the left side and had no trouble making the play on the run from multiple arm angles. Feel for transfers and an accurate high ¾ slot on throws across the diamond. INF - 73 mph Pitching: RHP - Quality pace in the delivery with a side rocker step into a high leg lift with hip coil around the bag side, landed directional with low posture while getting over the front side at release through a high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 75-78 T79 with an upwards of 2071 spin per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in feel for spin on a 62-64 mph breaker with 11-5 tilt to it.
Physical: Wiry, projectable frame. 7.51 runner in the 60; 4.42 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, upright stance with a wide base, some movement in his hands, hands work down and back on load along with a small stride for timing Hands get on plane with the ball early allowing for a flat bat path that works uphill at finish. Lots of hard contact up the middle. 70 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Wide base, shows the glove early, smooth footwork, fields the ball slightly off-center in the middle of his body. Long arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 72 MPH.
Pitching: Builds momentum well with a short drop step and high leg lift with a slight turn before sitting into back side as strides out in line, glove arm reaches up and across getting him some shoulder tilt before pulling through with intent to a repeatable release and getting to a flat back follow through . Long, loose arm action to a high 3/4 release. FB: T76, 74-76 MPH. Has life through the zone flashing some arm side run. CB: 66-67 MPH. 11-5 shape with tight, late break.
At the plate, the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Hands drop slightly before entering the hitting zone with a flat bat path. Displayed hard contact to the middle of the field. Defensively, the infielder displayed active footwork during the defensive portion. Gets in a low wide position before fielding the baseball. Above average funnel actions to a quick release from a mid 3/4 arm slot. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displayed a balanced repeatable delivery. The 2023 graduate works with tempo. Works with a high knee lift and gets into a balanced backside before driving downhill. The 2023 RHP was impressive during his bullpen session. Displayed a FB with late life and peaking at 75 MPH. The 2023 graduate has upside and is a must follow.
