NYS Games (2026) Session 1

2027 C/OF Ryan Poirier (CBA - Albany) 5-10, 160.1-pound catcher and outfielder. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter, posting a max exit velocity of 91 mph and a max distance of 352 feet. Defensively, threw 70 mph from behind the plate.

2027 Ryan Poirier (CBA - Albany)

Poirier measured 5-10, 160 pounds at the event with a lean, athletic frame. Upperclass profile with enough athleticism to keep the smaller build playable. Left-handed hitter showed 62.6 mph Bat Speed with 16g Rotational Acceleration and 83% On-Plane Efficiency. The barrel path is clean and repeatable. Catching arm was 68 mph with a 2.31-2.42 Pop Time range.

Physical: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds; Proportional, lean build. 4.24 30 yd dash.

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a moderate swing path with a two handed finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 83 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while standing up during transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.38-2.45 pop times. C - 67 MPH.
