Physical: Strong, lean 6-foot-3, 200 lb build
Pitching: Builds momentum well with a short side step to a leg lift above the belt before driving down the line. Gets hip-shoulder separation at slightly open foot strike before pulling over the front side. Long, fluid arm swing to a 3/4 release.
FB: Life out of the hand with ride through the top of the zone and flashed arm side run. CB: Big break with 11-5 shape dropping in on the glove side. CH: Maintained hand speed with some arm side fade.
Physical: Well proportioned, long limbed 6-1, 170-pounds.
Pitching: RHP - Works at a moderate pace with slight hip coil at the top of the stack, arm played with great extension on the front side through a high ¾ slot with a moderate takeaway in the back. Strided in line towards the plate yielding a repeatable release and got quality downhill plane on a 77-80 T81 mph FB at the knees. Mixed in a 64-67 mph CB showing 11/5 shape and feel in the zone.
Physical: 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. Lean, projectable frame.
Pitching Delivery: High leg lift with slight hesitation before gliding out landing slightly open into an aggressive, repeatable follow through.
Arm Action: Mid arm swing with a high 3/4 release.
FB: T80, 77-80 MPH. Commands down with arm side tail.
CB: 63-66 MPH. 11-5 shape with early break.
CH: 73-75 MPH. Firm, straight change.
A lean projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. Offensively: the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance feet shoulder width apart. Short simple load actions. Quick direct path to the baseball. Displayed hard consistent contact all of the field during batting practice. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and a projectable live arm. Scherrer throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a loose live arm. Drives downhill with low effort from a balanced backside. FB peaked at 73 MPH and CB ranged from 56-58 MPH. Scherrer has upside and is one to follow.
