Physical: 5-foot-10, 155 pounds; Athletic, build.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 83-85 MPH; Life out of the hand flashing ride and run. SL: 70-73 MPH; tilting break.
Physical: Lean, high-waisted 5-foot-10, 150lb frame with athleticism and projection found in the build. 7.33 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Open, slightly bent stance as the hands operated in rhythm to start; utilized a short lift and replace stride with advanced feel on the trigger through a flat, accurate path into the hitting zone. Natural bat to ball skills offensively and found the barrel using a middle of the field approach (50% line drive via Trackman) hinting at the ability to hit for average down the road. Strong top of the order characteristics, working up to a T84 mph bat-exit velocity and near 300 foot batted ball distance (291 feet) at his peak. Doubles power on occasion to pull when getting extended and tough out in game action.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured good pace during defense, arriving right-to-left working downhill through the baseball off the middle of his body. Exchanged quickly and kept the feet moving with one shuffle before releasing at a repeatable H ¾ slot (74 mph arm, medium intent, accurate).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle, left side of the rubber with good, consistent pace down the slope and a moderate takeaway out of the glove before working through a short H ¾ slot on the front side. The FB ranged from 79-81 mph with good carry to the glove (20 inches average IVB). Mixed a short 11/5, 66-69 mph CB at a gradual tilt, turning to a commanded 68-71 mph CH to play out of the same FB window as the go-to secondary pitch (1269rpms).
