Lean athletic frame with projectable pitching body. Repeats mechanics well with good drive down the mound. Consistent in the strike zone and gets ahead. Fastball range is 75-78 MPH peaking at 79 MPH. Change up is 66-68 with good arm side sink. Good at mixing pitches and keeping hitters off balance.
Academy Tryouts (November 18, 2018)
Harford stands at 6-foot-0, 145 pounds. Offensively- Righty with wide, open stance. Slight toe lift to engage with no stride. Hands held shoulder high, swing plane flat with full arm extension. 74 MPH exit velocity. Pitching- quick tempo with high leg kick. 3/4- arm slot with full follow through extension. Fastball ranging from 72-74 MPH topping out at 75 MPH. CB checked in at 66-69 MPH. Appropriate fastball-changeup speed differential at 63-65 MPH.
