Physical: Durable, compact 5-foot-8, 188lb frame with feel to pitch.
Pitching: LHP. Southpaw begins off the glove-side of the rubber; faster paced delivery that separates down the mound into footstrike. Timed up a moderate H ¾ slot on his three-pitch arsenal and showed some front-leg block. FB ranged 84-85MPH with 18in of HM into the LH batter’s box. Mixed a two-plane 68-70MPH CB on a 1/7 tilt and faded a mid-70’s CH back across the plate.
Physical: 5-foot-8, 190 pounds; Sturdy, proportional build. 7.72 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Extended take back of the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a one-handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while aggressive. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 78 MPH.
Pitching: Fusco uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing without restrictions, while working through a high 3/4 slot. Upright with finish. FB: Peak velo of 84 MPH, while sitting 82-83 MPH; arm side run with sink. CB: 69-71 MPH; spots and expands. CH: 76-77 MPH; fading action.
