Andrew Apanasewicz: C, (2022) Saint Ignatius, OH. 5-foot-9, 190-pound athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 89 mph. Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, has a flat swing plane and high finish. Movements laterally were athletic. While catching, he recorded a position velocity of 71 mph during throw downs; had soft hands, consistent footwork, and a twitchy exchange. He produced a pop time of 2.00-2.07. Calm setup with some flexibility. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.61.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Movement sync well prior to launch, incorporating a toe turning timing trigger during back load to hands. Level path with natural whip through the zone. Hit tool is only going to get better as strength catches up to bat speed.
Power:Flashed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Top of lineup.

Field: Starts in a mid crouch behind the dish. Showed the ability to receive. Exchange skills are on par for class.

2/15/20 Position Player Hit: Right-handed hitter that in a balanced stance. Uses a leg kick during back load to hands. Level stroke with feel for contact. Solid round of BP. Power: Showed present jump off the barrel. Strength may be slightly ahead of speed to swing but tools are comparable. Gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling. Field: Solid showing behind the dish. Creates solid direction to feet. Exchange skills are on par for class. Popped between 2.06-2.18. Throw: 69 mph arm strength to second base. More to come.
