2/9/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Slow tempo delivery with high leg kick and big back shoulder tilt. Lacks much usage out of the lower half, uses a pull down approach out of a high ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: Stays heavy and true through the zone with little to no action at 81mph.
Curveball: Presents 12/6 break with hard bite at 73mph.
Changeup: Keeps same arm speed throughout and shows good arm side run at 74mph.
2/3/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-10 160-pound prospect with a smaller frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a higher ¾ arm slot with his arm action being a little on the longer side. Overall moves well with smooth movement patterns.
Fastball: 78-80 mph fastball was mostly true through the zone.
Breaking Ball: 68-69 mph breaking ball showed a slider type action with good shape and tight spin.
Changeup: 72-73 mph changeup showed a little depth with minimal lateral movement. He killed spin well on the pitch.
Pitchability: Pretty good feel for his three pitch mix.
Role: Looks to be a guy who could start at the high school level with a solid three pitch mix. Fastball velocity would need to tick up to start at the next level, but the secondary offerings show naturally good actions and project well.
