2/15/20 Position Player
Hit: Starts in an open setup at the plate before squaring up through a toe turn load. Almost back strides a bit. Very efficient path, finding plane early allowing him to make frequent / quality contact up there. Natural lifter of the baseball.
Power: Strength over speed guy but not by much. Respectable jump off the barrel in BP. 84 mph tee exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling.
Field: Flashed sub 2.0 pops behind the dish. Feet are quick and transfer skills are on par for class. In the outfield he plays with shorter footwork and controlled tempo. Sure-handed out there.
Throw: 71 mph from the crouch and 76 mph arm strength to home plate.
Defensive Projection: C/OF.
Strong build. 5-foot-11,193- pound right-handed hitting catcher/outfielder. Went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three walks as the five-hole hitter in two games on Saturday afternoon. Works from a slightly open, balanced setup, short stride, slight leg kick. Rhythm in his swing, hands are ready to hit throughout. Showed natural defensive actions behind the plate, soft blocker, quick release.
