Body Type: 6-foot-4, 205-pound physical frame.
Hit: Uber physical bat that stays inside the baseball well. Path is uphill through the zone. Has some minor cleanups needed but the natural tools and size will attract college coaches. Ball jumps when squared.
Power: 84.6 mph off the bat in BP. Easy carry.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Field: Solid defender over at first base with the frame for the position. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Arm is an above average tool.
Defensive Projection: 1B.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works exclusively from the stretch. Delivery requires regular effort. Drop and drive type guy with good direction down the mound. Over the top right-hander with above average arm strength.
Fastball: Comes in on a downhill plane, sitting 78-82 mph. Lower spin rate guy with high 90s spin efficiency.
Curveball: 56-59 mph. 11/5 shaped offering with gradual action. Developing feel for the offering.
Changeup: 64-66 mph. Slows arm a bit on the offering. The pitch has some downward bite as it enters the zone and he looks to have feel for it.
Pitchability:
6-foot-3, 190-pound pitching prospect with plenty of room to mature physically. Extremely long limbed, but does a nice job controlling his body throughout the delivery before an aggressive finish. Really gets over his front side while finishing slight open at foot strike. Arm stays hidden behind his backside for a long time before working out of a near OT slot. Fastball ranges from 72-76 mph while often cutting the baseball. Uses a 12/6 breaking ball with gradual downward break at 63-66 mph. Two-way prospect. At the plate the right-hander starts in a tall setup. Uses a simple load flowing into a front foot launch. Slightly downhill path with physicality through the zone. Run producer type with easy, impressive jump off the barrel. At first base he shows ideal frame with above average athleticism for the spot. Plays fast off the bag, looking well versed at the position. Solid defender.
