Started in an athletic quiet stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 91 mph;had a natural exchange, quick footwork, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, had quick arm speed and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1943; Avg 1836). Threw a 11/5 curveball with gradual action. (Max spin 2107; Avg 1994). His 10/4 slider had late action. (Max spin 2057; Avg 1998).
