Brenden Carpenter: 2B/SS, (2024) Olentangy, OH. 5-foot-8, 140-pound. (58.8 mph bat speed average). (15.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced tall stance with a controlled compact load, then uses a short quick stride. Bat speed is quick efficient, shows a short level swing plane and level finish. In his round he found some barrels with some loud contact. Base hit line drive approach. Smooth above average in the infield, displayed a velocity of 68 mph; has soft sure hands, a clean natural exchange, and athletic rhythmic feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front.
Brenden Carpenter: 2B/SS, (2024) Olentangy High School, OH. 5-foot-6, 141-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 81 mph. Began in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was quick, had a short simple swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 70 mph; had sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.52.
