While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 74 mph; has athletic feet, a fluid exchange, and sure hands. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 71 mph; has a quick exchange, sure hands, and athletic feet. Had calm setup. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.94. Solid on the mound, uses a compact arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. Lands soft with a clean finish. Curveball (64-68 mph). While catching, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 76 mph; shows smooth quick feet, soft hands, and a fluid exchange. Showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.99-2.08. Above average flexibility and athletic setup. On the mound, had a quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with good arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 80-82 mph; has arm side command and running action. Throws a 11/5 curveball (68-69) that has plus action. His changeup (72-73) has arm side control and fading action.
