Caylan LeMaster: OF, (2024) Centerburg, OH. 5-foot-9, 155-pound. Solid during batting practice, Lemaster had a max exit velocity of 82 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is efficient and exhibits a simple swing plane. Found some barrels through his round. Line drive approach. Raw his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 71 mph; has a natural exchange, firm hands, and average feet.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with a slight double tap during his simple load with hands.
Hit: Level to slightly downhill path. COmpact stroke with a nice combination of strength/speed to hands. Handsy hitter that stays inside the baseball well.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Table setter.
Field: Easy, controlled tempo out there. Plays with above average ball skills. Reliable defender.
Throw: Loose, clean arm that comes through a high-¾ slot. Should see easy velo gains with maturity.
