Chance Brooks: RHP/OF, (2022) Newark Catholic, OH.
6-foot-2, 195-pound sturdy frame. Raw at the plate, Brooks best exit velocity was 82 mph. Started in a tall athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Had an uphill swing plane and efficient bat speed. Found some barrels through his round. Line drive approach. Raw from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 79 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a packing developing exchange. Shows to the side glove work. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.6. Solid on the mound, showing consistent arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a compact arm action. Feel type pitcher and shows decent effort. Showed a consistent balance point. Lands open. Threw his fastball 75-78 mph; shows slight action and arm side command. Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (66-69). His changeup (67-68) has some action and low in the zone command.

Hit: Fluid, efficient loader with a slight backside launch. Uphill path with above average natural tools. WOrked all fields in BP.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Middle.
Field: Corner infielder with smoother actions. Not flashy but sure-handed. Looks comfortable over there. In the outfield he plays with good tempo and through the ball with consistent rhythm. Solid, versatile defender.
Throw: Above average arm for class. 74 mph across the diamond, 80 mph from the outfield.
Defensive Projection: Corner Guy.

Delivery Notes: On the mound he flows through wind up with good tempo. Drops and drive guy. Arm works through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: Mostly true through the zone with slight arm side action at times.
Curveball: 62-66 mph offering that works with gradual action and an 11/5 shape.
Changeup: Pitch has good fading action. Maintains fastball arm speed.
