CJ Polen: RHP/3B, (2023) Wellington, OH. 6-foot, 215-pound. In the box, Polen's best exit velocity was 87 mph. (70.6 mph bat speed average). (21.9 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced tall stance with a compact load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, has an upward swing plane and balanced finish. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 79 mph; has sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. On the mound, showed a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 78-80 mph. (Max spin 2108; Avg 1968). Shows a 11/5 curveball (63-64) with some action. (Max spin 1903; Avg 1869). He shows slight fading action on his changeup (68-70).
Chandler Polen: RHP/3B, (2023) Wellington high school, OH. 6-foot, 203-pound solid frame. At the plate, Polen clocked an exit velocity of 81 mph. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a tight load, then used a controlled stride. Had a short flat swing plane, efficient bat speed and high finish. Capable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 76 mph; shows a natural exchange, consistent choppy feet, and firm hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. Capable on the mound, showed an over-the-top arm angle with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Curveball (59-63 mph), changeup (65-68 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 72-75 mph.

Delivery Notes: Comfortable out of the stretch with a strong build throwing from an upper ¾ slot.
Fastball: Comes in flat straight to the zone with average spin rate topping out at 77mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1796-1963
Curveball: 10/4 break with loopy break to it at 60-63mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1880-1954
Changeup: needs development but shows slight run off the open arm side sitting around 65-68mph
Body Type: 5-foot-9, 155-pound physical frame.
Swing Mechanics: A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a leg kick timing trigger during back load to hands.
Hit: Level path with more strength than speed at this stage. Ball comes off well. Drove the ball to left field with authority.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle of lineup.
Field: In the infield he plays with smooth, quiet feet in his approach. Cuts down distance off the bat and showed some softness to hands through fielding.
Throw: Arm strength is developing.
Defensive Projection: TBD.
Body Type: 5-foot-9, 155-pound physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works with good pace to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Lower half works well, staying connected and creating solid direction.
Fastball: 74-76 mph. Mostly straight through the zone. Average spin rate guy that still has room for more velocity as he learns to stay behind the ball. Fastball will show some dive when working down in the zone.
Curveball: 60-61 mph. 10/4, gradual breaking curveball with a big shape to it. Slurvish look to it.
Pitchability: In the zone fore the most part.
