5-foot-8, 138-pound prospect. David uses an over the top slot with short, quick arm action. Goes with a three pitch mix with his fastball sitting 68-74 mph. Curveball had an 11/5 shape to it with late action at 56-57 mph. Also flashed a changeup, using fastball armspeed at 66-67 mph. At the plate David showed off his strength and batspeed by registering an exit velocity of 79 mph off the tee. Mechanically sound. Was able to produce line drives in batting practice. In the outfield he showed off one of the stronger arms of the day reaching a top velocity of 70 mph. Once he learns to use his legs/get efficient use out of his crow hop that number should get even higher.
