Klaserner is no stranger to the top performers list. Drew has always impressed with his bat and his abilities behind the plate, however it was his glove that stood out on this day. At third base the Elder product showed impressive glove skills and the ability to work out of his funnel. As one would expect there are some finer points to clean up in the infield, with his primary position being behind the plate.  However,  he displayed the athleticism and ball skills to make the infield a legitimate option at the next level. Per usual Klaserner looked the part of a middle of the lineup bat from the left side and a solid defender behind the plate as well. College coaches in need of an impact bat and versatile defender should take a real look at Klaserner.

A left-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Load is smooth and creates energy. An aggressive hitter that swings with intent. Ball jumps off his bat as barrel gets through contact with ease. Middle of the lineup guy with some pull side power. Drove a double to the right-center wall in game play.  Behind the dish  he is mechanically sound. Feet and exchange skills are quick. Arm action is ideal for the position. Solid catch and throw guy. In the infield he does a nice job of creating angles in his pre fielding footwork. Has feel for the position and is mechanically sound. Glove skills were impressive. Projects as an above average defender.

Swing Mechanics: Very fluid, efficient load that leads to a balanced launch. Path plays and has impressive control off the barrel.
Hit: Stays inside the ball well and generates true flight to all fields. Nice combination of strength and speed through the zone. Easier jump off the barrel.
Power: Gap to gap pop with the ability to occasional leave the yard. 92 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Middle Potential. Guy you could easily see hitting for a higher average with his fair share of doubles.
Run: 7.28 60-yard dash.
Field: Well above average catch/throw guy. Popped between 1.85-1.91 in workout. Looks to have grown as a receiver since we saw him in high school as well.
Throw: 74 mph arm strength to second base. Accurate with some carry.
Defensive Projection: C. 
Additional Comments: Klaserner has raked every time we’ve seen him going back to his high school days at Cincinnati Elder. The hit tool has matured in every way since then. Don’t be surprised if he puts up big numbers in a Tartan uniform.
