Drew Mason: SS/2B, (2022) Wadsworth, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound. Solid in the box, Mason had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Begins in an open stance with a arm bar load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is quick and uses a simple rotational swing plane. Found some barrels in his rounds. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 80 mph; has average feet, and firm hands. Recorded a time of 7.25 in the 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle and an long arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Curveball (68-70 mph), changeup (73-75 mph).Sat with his fastball at 76-79 mph.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Easy load that creates both balance and separation. Rotational sequence with quick hands and developing strength. Worked to all fields in BP with natural ball flight to the middle of the field.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a slight back load to hands during small leg kick timing trigger. Aggressive stroke with some lfo tot it. Natural tools are balanced, showing both strength and speed to hands. Nice combination of burst and feel.
Power:Line drive pop with flashes of gap.

Field:In the infield he plays with smoothness to his actions. Feet are mechanically sound creating angles to play through the baseball naturally. Ball skills appear to be ahead of the curve for class.

Delivery Notes:On the mound the righty works with a consistent, easy tempo. Long back arm action with whip through a 3/4 slot.
Fastball:Occasional cut, with mostly true through the middle. Topped at 75 mph.

Curveball:10/4 shape with slurvish look to it. Filled it up with the offering. 62-65 mph.

Changeup:Solid offering. Fastball look out of the hand with some late fading action to it.

Field: Plays fluid throughout. Rangy defender. Ball skills are on par for class. Looks to be sure-handed. Behind the dish he recorded pop times of 2.22-2.35.
