Ethan Keen: 1B/LHP, (2023) Upper Arlington, OH. 5-foot-11, 180-pound. In the box, Keen recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. (59.7 mph bat speed average). (19.7 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic active stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Had a simple uphill swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Solid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 64 mph; shows soft hands, a clean exchange, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.11.
Ethan Keen: 1B/LHP, (2023) Upper Arlington, OH. 5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 84 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is above average, exhibits an uphill swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels in his round. Pull side approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 64 mph; showed choppy feet, and developing hands. Out front fielding mechanics. Throws from a ¾ slot. On the mound, showing developing arm speed he had an over-the-top arm angle with a compact arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 63-65 mph; has running action with tight movement. His 2/8 curveball (54-55) has gradual action. He shows fading action on his changeup (57-59).
