Ethan Stager: 3B/RHP, (2023) Clay High School, OH. 6-foot-1, 180-pound. In the box, Stager clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Started in a balanced tall stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Has a simple upward swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 83 mph; had soft hands, consistent footwork, and a fluid exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 8.06. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 81-84 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1862; Avg 1784). Has tight action on his 11/5 curveball (70-71). (Max spin 2092; Avg 2080). He had some action on his changeup (76-77).
6-foot, 151-pound. Athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 3rd with an exit velocity of 89 mph.Started in an open quiet stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a toe tap. Had above average bat speed. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 78 mph; has a packing exchange, average feet, and sure hands. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.06.
Scouting Notes:Two-way prospect. Easy delivery from the right side. Ball comes out well. Young arm with much more projection left. Showed feel for the zone.
Fastball:74-75 mph. Regular ride/dive through the zone.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Goes with a smooth leg kick timing trigger to incorporate lower half. Hands accelerate barrel through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Worked the middle of the field in BP. Quick hands with developing strength. Power:Line drive pop. Offensive Projection:Top of the lineup. Max BP Exit:79 mph Max BP Distance:188 ft Field:Controlled tempo throughout sequence in the infield. Glove skills are on par for class. moves light on his feet/shows above average lateral mobility. Throw:Clean arm with more strength to come. Defensive Projection:2B.
