Henry McGurn: OF/LHP, (2023) Anderson High School, OH. 5-foot-9, 140-pound. During batting practice, Mcgurn had a max exit velocity of 77 mph. (53.3 mph bat speed average). (18.1 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was developing, displayed a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 78 mph; shows firm hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.64. On the mound, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 70-71 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1512; Avg 1421). Shows slurvey action on his 11/5 curveball (63-64). (Max spin 1690; Avg 1575). He shows slight action on his changeup (68-69).
