Jake Tschida: OF/LHP, (2022) Roger Bacon, OH. 5-foot-11, 180-pound physical frame. Projectable at the plate, Tschida was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 99 mph.Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a smooth quick load, then uses a big leg kick. Bat speed is explosive and has a level swing plane. Athletic when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 88 mph;has soft hands, a developing exchange, and smooth developing feet. Fielded the ball one hand with athletic movement laterally. Above average on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Threw his fastball 83-84 mph; has running action and arm side control. Throws a 1/7 curveball (74-77) that has plus action. His changeup (68-71) had fading action and arm side command.
Hit: Left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. All the tools you could ask for with 80+bat speed and near 30gs of rotational acceleration. Ball absolutely explodes off his bat. Impressive round, dropping a no doubter to pull side.
Power: Easy gap pop.
