Jakob Holmes: 3B/SS, (2023) Stow, OH. 6-foot-1, 175-pound. Athletic solid at the plate, Holmes 90 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is above average, exhibits a level loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels through his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Solid athletic in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 83 mph; has a natural exchange, smooth in control feet, and soft hands. Had a long loose arm action on his throws. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.68.
Jakob Holmes: 3B/SS, (2023) Stow, OH. 6-foot, 160-pound. Solid at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in an athletic open stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a short stride. Found some barrels through his round. Pull side approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws up to 78 mph; has rhythmic feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Used a ¾ slot with a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.7.

Bat speed is above average and displays a flat swing plane. He found multiple barrels with loud contact. Up the middle approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph; showed a natural exchange, smooth fluid feet, and soft hands. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action.
Hit: Simple, smooth stroke from the right side. Pull side tendencies in BP. Contact type bat with a line drive stroke.
