5-foot-9, 165 pound right-handed pitcher has an athletic frame with a sturdy build. Szymczak throws from a ¾ arm slot with good action. His motion provides an even tempo allowing to build up energy and letting his lower half fire outputting good power. His FB sat 78-82 with accuracy and gets on hitters quickly. CB at 62-64 broke late and had excellent command. Great intent behind each throw leads to good projectability for the next level. Defensively he fields from a wide stance showing good capability with his glovework fielding the ball cleanly. Feet moved well with good speed. Accurate throws revealing good arm strength at 81 mph across the diamond. Offensively he swings from the right side with an uphill path demonstrating quick hands to get on plane and stay through the ball. He posted an 83 mph exit velocity while making good contact throughout his round.
