Jesse Langford: RHP/1B, (2023) Medina, OH. 6-foot-3, 215-pound. During batting practice, Langford recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. (69.5 mph bat speed average). (20.4 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed was quick, used a simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 80 mph; has soft hands, quick feet, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.88 60-yard dash. On the mound, used a clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 76-77 mph. Hit:Physical presence in the box from the right side. Goes with a simple stride during back load to hands. Rotational path with more spresnt strength than quickness to stroke. Ball jumps when squared.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Middle Ceiling.
Field: Skillset fits the position. Looks well versed over there with ball skills on par for class.
Throw: Clean arm with more strength to come.
