2/16/20 Position Player
Hit: Liked what I saw at the plate. Efficient mover that uses his loading sequence to create both balance and energy. Loose hands generate natural whip through the zone with above average strength/speed to hands. Type of guy who generates easier juice and natural backspin. Solid round.
Power: Top rapsodo exit velocity was 82.8 mph in BP, while top rapsodo distance registered at 283 feet. Much more to come.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field: Quiet actions in the infield with consistent tempo. Not a flashy defender but appears to be sure-handed. Second baseman look to him.
Throw: 71 mph arm strength across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: 2B.
2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Slower paced tempo throughout leg lift that will speed a bit before release. Drop/drive type loading sequence to lower half. Arm shows slinging action through a near high-¾ slot. Ball comes out well/a guy who should see more velocity down the road.
Fastball: Topped at 78 mph, more in the tank, regular arm side action.
Slider: Quality pitch that should only continue to get better as velo spikes, darts across the zone with a nice combination of depth and action to it, 67-69 mph.
Changeup: Good sell, some fading action, 70-71 mph.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 168-pound frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: A high leg kick with some incorporation of the lower half. Slight hitch in the arm action near the back from a ¾ arm action.
Fastball: 74-76mph. Late arm side movement on a pitch thrown consistently in the zone.
Changeup: 70-71mph. Late arm side movement that makes a solid offering keeping hitters off balance.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.
Additional Notes: A guy to watch develop.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 168-pound frame.
Swing Mechanics: Righty swinger with a smooth, athletic load,
Hit: Easy stroke on a mostly level path. Showed fele for contact with balanced natural tools through the zone. Swing is efficient/any added strength should easily translate to added pop. All fields hitter.
Power: 80.5 off the bat in BP. Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field: Plays with active feet in the infield. Ball skills are on par for his class.
Throw: Throws from over the top, and gets good carry on all of his throws. Has a loose and fast arm that works.
Defensive Projection: Multiple positions.
