Kadyn Burkholder: OF/1B, (2023) Mentor, OH. 6-foot, 215-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 97 mph. (71.0 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled small load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed was flashed quick, displayed an uphill simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 77 mph; has consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. Recorded a 60 time of 7.54 at the event.
Kadyn Burkholder: OF/1B, (2023) Mentor, OH. 5-foot-10, 183-pound athletic frame. In the box, Burkholder clocked an exit velocity of 92 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, used an upward swing plane and high finish. Capable in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 73 mph; has a natural exchange, sure hands, and consistent feet. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 77 mph; has consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.12.

Hit: At the plate he uses a toe tap load and starts with his hands slightly lower than average. He has a bit of an armbar during his load which causes him to cast his hands at times. Overall shows a fairly flat bat path with good barrel control.

Offensive Projection: Still a young prospect. How he matures physically and adds strength will be main component of long term projection.
Field: In the outfield he shows below average footwork but plays through the ball fairly well. At first base he also shows some choppy footwork but seems to have decent glove skills.
Throw: 72 mph across the diamond and 77 mph from the outfield.
