Koby Dues: SS/RHP, (2027) Vandalia Butler, OH. 5-foot-11, 155-pound. (63.3 mph bat speed average). (20.5 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced quiet stance with a compact load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is efficient, has a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 81 mph; has a natural exchange, quick feet, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot with a consistent arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.13. On the mound, had a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1882; Avg 1797). Showed a 10/4 slider with late action. (Max spin 1673; Avg 1621).
Continues to impress this summer. Very talented defender up the middle who took a strong BP today. Swing works / very efficiently with above average bat speed and only going to add there as he fills out. Very talented.
Koby Dues: SS/RHP, (2027) Vandalia Butler, OH. 5-foot-9, 130-pound. (62.4 mph bat speed average). (20.6 mph hand speed average). Begins in a tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has developing bat speed, level swing plane and balanced finish. He barreled up lots of balls throughout his round. Pull side up the middle approach. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 80 mph. Clocked a 60 time of 7.59 at the event. Athletic smooth on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a short clean arm action and a side arm angle. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher who uses easy effort. Displays downhill shoulders and a low strong balance point. Lands square with recoil falling off finish. (Max spin 2094; Avg 1877).
