2/17/19
Body Type: 6-foot 150-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a upright, medium width stance. He uses a toe tap load to initiate his weight shift.. Has a simple approach and is short to the ball with his hands.
HIt: Decent bat to ball ability.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Presently shows respectable raw power for a 2022, but overall his main limiting factor appears to be physical strength. Moves athletically, just needs to add strength to move more explosively and dynamically through those same movement patterns.
Field: In the infield he shows decent footwork with a quick exchange and a quick arm. Needs to improve the angles he takes through the ball.
Throw: 75 mph across the diamond.
Run: 4.57 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Looks about what you would expect from a 2022 SS. He should be able to stick there in high school. How he physically develops and adds strength will dictate if he’s more of a SS or 2B type at the next level.
