2/9/20 Position Player
Hit: Smooth fluid toe tap stance while showing a little off-balanced due to long swing. Quick hands brings the bat path level through the zone with an upper angled approach.
Power: Plus power at 86-90 exit velo.
Offensive Projection: 1-4 of lineup.
Field: Shows plus footwork while attacking the ball. Something I really like was how he stayed through his fielding and kept his athletic stature through his release.
Throw: 72mph from infield, 75mph from outfield.
Defensive Projection: MIF or CF
Body Type: 6-foot 175-pound
Swing Mechanics: Uses a toe tap load with compact hands and is short to the ball. Barrel stays through the zone well with an uphill bat path. Long swing at times but overall quick hands.
Hit: Good bat to ball ability and barrel control.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Presently would profile as a gap to gap threat but the natural lift to his swing would make him a potential power threat down the road.
Field: In the outfield he attacks and plays through the ball well. Shows decent footwork and a slower release. In the infield he waits on the ball with average angles. Throws seemed to carry well.
Throw: 77 mph from the outfield. 75 mph across the diamond.
Run: 6.70 60 yard dash.
Defensive Projection: Showed out as adequate in the infield, but projects better as a potential CF option at the next level. Shows good speed and glove with a good enough arm to play CF. Definite option to move around at all three outfield spots.
