Mason Decker: SS/OF, (2021) Berea-Midpark, OH. 6-foot, 185-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 94 mph. Begins in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, displays an upward swing plane and low finish. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 86 mph. Athletic in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 87 mph; has sure hands, athletic feet, and a quick exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a very quick arm action and an-over-the-top slot. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.98.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Uses a leg kick timing trigger as barrel flows to a vertical launch position. Showed some physicality to stroke with an uphill path to contact. Ball jumps when squared.
