Mason Hess: SS/2B, (2023) Mechanicsburg, OH. 6-foot, 160-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 85 mph. (65.6 mph bat speed average). (21.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Had a loose level swing plane, quick bat speed and balanced finish. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 76 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and sure hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.51.

Began in an athletic stance with a quick load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed was average, and displayed a level swing plane. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 69 mph; had sure hands, a developing exchange, and athletic developing footwork.
