Matthew Bottger: 3B/RHP, (2022) Brunswick, OH. 6-foot-1, 180-pound. At the plate, Bottger had an exit velocity of 92 mph. Starts in a balanced tall stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Has a simple upward swing plane, present bat speed and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 79 mph; has a natural exchange, sure hands, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, used a clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 78-79 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1882; Avg 1784). Throws a 11/5 curveball (67-69) that has slurvey action. (Max spin 1915; Avg 1785). He has slight fading action on his changeup (74-76). Ran a 4.48 30 yard dash.
