Matthew Randar: OF/1B, (2023) Westlake, OH. 6-foot-1, 205-pound. During batting practice, Randar had a max exit velocity of 91 mph. (68.1 mph bat speed average). (20.8 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a quick tight load, then uses a controlled stride. Has a short simple swing plane, efficient bat speed and high finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 79 mph; had a natural exchange, firm hands, and choppy consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.81.

Began in an athletic stance with a compact controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is average and exhibits an upward rotational swing plane. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 72 mph; shows a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic developing feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing.

Hit:Left-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Uses a bat tip up top during small leg lift for timing. Compact swing with respectable burst through the zone. Stays inside the baseball nicely, working middle back in BP.
