Max Cowles: OF/SS, (2026) Massillon Jackson, OH. 5-foot-7, 120-pound lean athletic frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed is efficient and uses a level swing plane. Athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 75 mph; has soft hands, smooth consistent feet, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.54. Above average on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action while showing good arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 72-75 mph. Had running action. (Max spin 2106; Avg 1973). Has gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (59-62). (Max spin 1770; Avg 1676). His changeup (64-66) has fading action.
